What Happened to the Innocence in Sports

I come from the U.S. and baseball is the national pastime, and I can still remember when you used to go to a baseball game, just to see a game, and not to be propagandized. I am thinking about boycotting professional baseball until they get rid of the camouflage on the uniforms and the extreme nationalism. Just what are they trying to say, that their country is better than all the others, and that God should only bless their country and not others? Why can we not Support Peace and stop promoting war? Why do children have to watch their heroes, who they look up to, and why do they have to see them in military colors? Hitler used to propagandize sports, that is not someone we should try to immitate, that is someone you want to distance yourself from, not follow his techniques.  The author Michael Parenti has a really good book on this subject, it is called "Super Patriotism", and I highly recommend it.

I have seen this in other sports other than baseball and I wish they would stop doing this, we can all see through it and it is destroying what used to be a beautiful sport and turning it into a propaganda tool. Another thing I wish teams would do is to remove the racist names like the Redskins, or Seminoles, Braves, Cheifs, Utes, and other offensive names. I think that those things also are a disgrace to the games. How offensive would it be for any country to put aboriginal people that were put through genocide, on t-shirts or used as mascots for sports teams or schools. I find it really offensive.
