Human beings - Poem

You share so much in common

yet you cannot get along

you live for your children

you want to see them grow up

you want to give them the best

it hurts you when they hurt

you love them so much

and you also love your family

even though you fight sometimes

you love to spend time with them

those are the best of times

this is how it is for most of us

then why do we let them divide us

we do we fight

we have so much in common

if we would only put the nonsense behind

you ever paid attention to children and how they will play with anyone

they do not discriminate

neither color, nor religion matter to them

they just play

they have fun with other children

and we call them immature

then what is it to be mature

is it bigotry,

no that is not it

we can learn a lot from kids
